The PTE or Pearson Test of English is a computer-based English language proficiency test for non-native speakers. It is mainly used to assess the language ability of candidates who wish to study or work in countries where English is the primary language for communication. The test measures proficiency in four areas: listening, reading, speaking, and writing.
